Bulk upload many sessions

How to import several AiM data-logger files into Apex at once, using the Bulk Upload page in the Sessions area.

When you have a whole day's worth of files, Bulk Upload lets you bring them in together instead of one at a time. Apex reads each file, groups them into events automatically by track and date, and lets you review everything before importing. You reach it from Sessions → Bulk Upload in the sidebar.

What you need

  • Up to 20 AiM logger files (.xrk or .xrz), each no larger than 50 MB.

Steps

  1. In the sidebar, select Sessions, then Bulk Upload.
  2. Drag your files onto the drop area, or select Drag files here or click to browse.
  3. Wait while Apex reads each file — it extracts the driver, track, date, lap count and best lap.
  4. In the review table, check each row's Track. Rows Apex matched are read-only; for any it couldn't, choose the track from the Select track… list.
  5. Select Ingest to import the reviewed rows.

What you'll see

A progress count (for example "3 of 5") as the files import, then a green banner: "{N} session(s) imported successfully." with a View sessions button. Each imported file becomes a session, grouped into an event by its track and date.

Tips

  • The page explains the grouping: "Each session is grouped into an auto-created event by track and date. If multiple sessions share the same track and day, they share one event."
  • A file may show a per-row error if its track can't be resolved — pick the track manually, then ingest.
  • Files that fail validation (wrong type, too big, empty) are flagged before ingest so you can remove them.

Frequently asked questions

How many files can I upload at once? Up to 20 files per bulk upload, each up to 50 MB.

How are my files grouped into events? Automatically, by track and date. Files from the same track on the same day share one event.

What if Apex can't work out the track for a file? That row stays editable — pick the track from the Select track… list before you ingest.

Where do my sessions go after import? Into the Sessions list (and their auto-created events). The success banner's View sessions button takes you straight there.
