Ask the AI Coach a question

How to get telemetry-aware coaching from Apex's AI Coach — lap analysis, setup tips and driving technique grounded in your own data — from the AI Coach chat.

The AI Coach answers your driving and setup questions using your recorded sessions. You reach it from AI Coach in the sidebar; its header reads AI Coach. Replies stream in as they're written, and your conversations are saved so you can return to them.

What you need

  • A Pro subscription (the AI Coach is a Pro feature).
  • Some recorded sessions, so the coach has your data to work from.

Steps

  1. In the sidebar, select AI Coach.
  2. Type your question in the box ("Ask your AI coach a question..."), or pick one of the starter prompts.
  3. Send your question.
  4. Read the answer as it streams in; use the stop button to end a reply early if you wish.

What you'll see

The coach's answer builds up on screen as it's generated, drawing on your sessions. A sidebar keeps your conversations — start a New Chat, switch between them, or archive old ones. A badge shows your AI coach level, which controls how detailed the answers are.

Tips

  • Be specific: name a session, a corner or a condition for a sharper answer.
  • The four starter prompts are good first questions; follow up in the same conversation.
  • Change your AI coach level on your Profile (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) to make answers simpler or more detailed.
  • As the app reminds you, AI responses are a guide — check them against your own data.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a subscription to use the AI Coach? Yes — it's a Pro feature. Without Pro you'll see a prompt to view the plans.

What can I ask it? Anything about your driving and setup — lap analysis, tyre pressures, consistency, what your traces show — grounded in your recorded sessions.

Why does the reply appear word by word? The coach streams its answer as it writes, so you can read along and stop early if you've seen enough.

Can I keep my conversations? Yes — they're listed in the sidebar. You can start new ones, switch between them, and archive ones you no longer need.
