Create a kart setup

How to build a new kart setup in Apex — a saved record of your chassis, axle, seat, gearing and tyre configuration — from the Setups area.

A setup captures how your kart is configured so you can reuse and compare it. You build one on the Setups page (sidebar → Setups → New Setup). The form is split into eight sections; only the Name is required, so you can fill in as much or as little as you know.

What you need

  • A name for the setup, and ideally the kart it's for.
  • Whatever configuration details you want to record (all optional except the name).

Steps

  1. In the sidebar, select Setups.
  2. Select New Setup.
  3. In General, enter a Name, pick the Kart, and set Weather to Dry or Wet.
  4. Work through the sections you care about — Front End, Steering, Body Work, Rear, Seat Positioning, Gearing, Tyres — filling in the fields you know.
  5. Select Save Setup.

What you'll see

The setup is saved and appears in the Setups list, showing its name, kart, weather and the date it was updated. You can reopen it any time to edit, Duplicate it, or Delete it.

Tips

  • Use the Jump to quick-nav or Expand all / Collapse all to move around the long form quickly.
  • Gear Ratio is calculated automatically from the front and rear sprockets — you don't enter it.
  • Tyre Make and Wheel Make unlock only after you pick their manufacturer.
  • Mark a setup as Favourite or Baseline in the General section to find it faster later.
  • Keep separate Dry and Wet setups so the right one is offered for the conditions.

Frequently asked questions

Which fields are required? Only the Name. Everything else is optional — fill in what you know and leave the rest blank.

Why is the Gear Ratio greyed out? It's calculated for you from the front and rear sprockets, so it's read-only.

Why can't I choose a Tyre Make or Wheel Make? Those lists stay locked until you pick the manufacturer first.

Some fields are missing for my kart — why? A few Rear and Seat options only apply to certain classes (for example, several are hidden for Cadet karts), so they won't appear for those karts.
