Save and reuse a tyre setup

How to save your tyre-calculator choices as a named tyre setup and reload them later, on the Tyres page in Apex.

A tyre setup is a saved snapshot of everything you entered in the Tyre Calculator — a name, date, track and all your tyre, condition and session choices. Saving one means you can reload the same starting point next time instead of re-entering everything. The controls live in the header of the Tyres page (select Tyres in the sidebar) and in the Tyre Setup card.

What you need

  • The calculator filled in with the tyre and conditions you want to keep.
  • A name for the setup, and the track it's for.

Steps

  1. In the sidebar, select Tyres.
  2. Fill in the calculator (at least a Tyre Manufacturer and Tyre Make, plus your conditions).
  3. In the Tyre Setup card, type a Setup name — for example Saturday qualifier.
  4. Check the Setup date (it defaults to today; you can choose up to seven days ahead).
  5. Choose the Track — for example Go Kart Club of Victoria.
  6. Select Save in the page header.

What you'll see

A confirmation message, "Tyre setup saved", and the setup now appears in the Select tyre setup… box at the top of the page. To reload it later, open that box and choose it — the calculator repopulates and a Loaded badge appears next to the Tyre Setup heading.

Tips

  • New tyre setup clears everything so you can start fresh.
  • Cancel undoes unsaved edits and returns to the last loaded state.
  • Delete removes the loaded setup; you'll be asked to confirm ("Delete this tyre setup?" — This cannot be undone.).
  • The Select tyre setup… box has a search field, so you can type to find a setup by name.

Frequently asked questions

Where do my saved setups appear? In the Select tyre setup… box in the header of the Tyres page. If it says "No tyre setups yet.", you haven't saved one.

Can I change a saved setup? Yes. Load it, make your changes, then select Save again — it updates the existing setup rather than creating a new one.

How do I delete a tyre setup? Load it, select Delete, and confirm in the dialog. Deleting cannot be undone.

Why is the "Kart setup" picker empty when I load a setup? The optional Kart setup picker only lists kart setups saved for the chosen Track. If there are none for that track, it stays empty — it doesn't affect your saved tyre choices.
